2010 Biennial Seminar – Positive +...........  =  Healthy Practice

It is here again, 2 years has whizzed by and the committee has been hard at work planning and organising this year’s Biennial Seminar.  In 2008 the seminar was held at the Watermark Hotel & Spa in Surfers Paradise which proved to be a great venue so we have chosen this venue again for the 2010 AMR Biennial Seminar which is to be held on the 31st July 2010. This year we have put together a fantastic educational program which is sure to be of interest to all attendees.   It will be a fun packed day of education, networking and sumptuous food, not to mention the trade stands, raffles and lucky door prizes, then at the end of the day we will adjourn to the H2O Lounge Bar for delicious canapés and drinks.

AGM and Christmas Cocktail Party
It is with great excitement this year we announce the Annual General Meeting is to be combined with a Christmas Cocktail Party (Download Flyer now).
This function is to be held at the Sofitel, Broadbeach on the 18th November and is generously sponsored by Pindara Private Hospital. It is sure to be a great night with the presentations of the Practice of the Year trophies as well as the presentation of a fundraising cheque to Careflight. Once the formalities have concluded drinks and canapés will be served while all attendees enjoy an opportunity to network in the relaxed atmosphere of the Sofitel..

Workshop Cancellation
Unfortunately due to lack of numbers the workshop which was to be held in the Lecture room at Allamanda Hospital on 2nd September with Dr John Meulet and Sean Breedon has been cancelled. Flyer for Women's Health Workshop (6th October 2009) at John Flynn Hospital will be available for download shortly.

Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings
Last Saturday the AMR Committee held the second Bunning’s Sausage Sizzle which was again very successful.  52kilos of sausages;  a mammoth effort from the Committee members and the band of helpers who helped out on the day.  A big thank you to Ruth for all her efforts in organising the sausage sizzle as well as Jenny and Mike for their invaluable assistance in setting up and packing up on the day.  It is very much appreciated.  Thanks also to the other husbands, partners and friends, Ross, Dave, Steve and Kelly, who came along to assist the Committee members rostered on during the day.

Welcome to the new AMR Website. Our website has been a work in progress for a little while now but finally, it is with great excitement, that we launch a new improved website.
